2010 Channel Island Cruise

2010 CHANNEL ISLANDS CRUISE
Sept 4 - 19 & Beyond

Join the cruise to these off shore islands, land on undeveloped beaches, go into caves by skiff, land on a beach inside a cave, and enjoy the raw beauty of the area. Visit Cuyler Harbor at San Miguel Island and watch a reenactment of the landing of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo on the beach Sept 11th.

The Tentative Proposed schedule is similar to ones used in past years and accommodates either a one or two week trip to the area. If you cannot make the exact dates of the scheduled cruise, Bob and Hap may be in the area before and after the schedule. Contact them.

The cruise is open to anyone interested. In past years boats from CBYC, HGYC and BucYC have participated in the cruise.

A trip to the Channel Islands requires much more preparation than going to Catalina since the distance is roughly 3 to 4 times as far and there are no moorings, stores, fuel, and limited potable water available on the islands. To assist in the trip a “Packet of Information” has been developed over the last 15 years to help first time visitors and to remind repeat visitors of some of the items to be considered. The Packet contains the

Tentative Proposed Schedule along with other items.
To recieve a copy of the Packet send your E-mail address to: happudewa@gmail.com
If you have any questions or want more information please contact either:

CRUISE SWAP

Please note that the “Dining under the Stars” cruise is now scheduled for  September 24-26  and the Cherry Cove cruise, hosted by the Martins, for June 4-6.

The reason for the swap is that Isthmus has a wine tasting festival scheduled on June 4-6 and could not provide tent(s) and catering.
